Social networking giant Facebook has initiated a new way of becoming people’s favorite and ruling the world of social network more strongly. The company has started to share posts of missing children around the world which will be popped up based on your location , and it’s obvious that you won’t get a alert of missing kid from London when you are located in Chile. These alerts will be pushed into your news feed. This service is however limited to U.S.A for now and the company is working on to spread this feature world wide.
Facebook has joined hands with National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), launches for U.S. users on Tuesday.
“When a child goes missing, the most important thing is getting out the relevant information, the correct information, to the right people at the right time,” Emily Vacher, Facebook head of global safety told USA Today.
Facebook has created and maintained a separate page named AMBER alert , which homes many posts of lost children and help them reach their parents. Since this page is maintained by Facebook and the posts are approved results of NCMEC, no fake posts are found and things go smoothly. Like the page and help kids reach their home
